Who We Are

Central Healthy Start Coalition and Healthy Start of North Central Florida Coalition are among 32 Healthy Start coalitions throughout the state. We provide support for expectant parents and families raising young children. Every service we provide is shaped by the belief that every child deserves a strong beginning and a future that inspires hope.

Our Mission

The Healthy Start Coalition is dedicated to improving pregnancy, birth, and early childhood outcomes by empowering families through personalized support, education, and connections to resources.

What We Do

Our Healthy Start Coalitions are the leaders in maternal and infant health home visiting programs in the region. Our programs help ensure a healthy start in life and a hopeful future for our families.

Services may include:

Visits at home to support moms and dads

Learn positive parenting skills

Guidance for pregnancy and giving birth

Learn how to keep your child safe in the car

How to take care of your baby and keep them safe

Help your child prepare for school

Help with breastfeeding

Help from a counselor

Learn about healthy food options

Help to stop smoking and using drugs

Help with planning your family

We work in partnership with WellFlorida Council for the fiscal administration and staffing of our programs, as well as to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services provided to clients, develop strategic plans to improve pregnancy outcomes and enhance child development, and provide professional trainings.
